What is the best time to visit Rwanda and Uganda?

The best time for gorilla trekking and wildlife viewing is during the dry seasons: June to September and December to February. However, Rwanda and Uganda offer year-round experiences, with each season having its unique charm.

Do I need a visa to visit Rwanda and Uganda?

Most visitors require visas for both countries. We can assist you with visa applications. Rwanda offers visa-on-arrival for many nationalities, and there's also an East African Tourist Visa that covers Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya.

What is included in the safari package price?

Our packages typically include accommodation, meals, transportation, park entry fees, gorilla permits (where applicable), professional guide services, and airport transfers. International flights and personal expenses are usually excluded.

How physically demanding is gorilla trekking?

Gorilla trekking can be moderate to challenging depending on the gorilla group's location. Treks can last 1-8 hours through forest terrain. We offer packages for different fitness levels and can arrange porter services to assist with your gear.

What should I pack for my safari?

Essential items include: comfortable hiking boots, long-sleeved shirts and pants (in neutral colors), rain jacket, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, camera, binoculars, and a daypack. We provide a detailed packing list upon booking.

Is it safe to travel to Rwanda and Uganda?

Yes, both Rwanda and Uganda are considered safe for tourists. We work with experienced local guides, use reliable transportation, and stay in secure accommodations. We also provide 24/7 support throughout your journey.

How far in advance should I book my safari?

We recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance, especially for gorilla trekking permits which are limited and sell out quickly. For peak season (June-September, December-February), booking 6-12 months ahead is advisable.

What currency is used in Rwanda and Uganda?

Rwanda uses the Rwandan Franc (RWF) and Uganda uses the Ugandan Shilling (UGX). US Dollars are widely accepted in both countries, especially for tourism services. We accept payments in USD, EUR, and local currencies.
