Beyond the wildlife, discovering the warm hearts and rich traditions of the Rwandan people made this trip truly special.

While the gorilla trekking was the highlight everyone talks about, the cultural experiences during our 7-day tour touched my heart in unexpected ways. We visited local villages, participated in traditional dance ceremonies, and learned about basket weaving from master craftswomen.

The resilience and warmth of the Rwandan people left a lasting impression. Despite their history, they welcomed us with open arms and genuine smiles. We shared meals with families, learned some Kinyarwanda phrases, and heard stories that gave us a deeper understanding of this beautiful country.

I left Rwanda not just with amazing wildlife photos, but with friendships and a profound respect for a culture that values community, forgiveness, and hope.
