Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where your Trail Trek Africa guide will meet and assist you with border crossing formalities. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and cross into Uganda via Cyanika or Katuna border post. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. Embark on a thrilling adventure through the jungle to track a family of mountain gorillas. Spend an hour in their presence, observing their behavior and interactions. Return to the lodge for relaxation. Optional community visits in the afternoon.
Depart Bwindi for Lake Bunyonyi, a picturesque lake with terraced hills and 29 islands. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lakeside or enjoying optional activities like canoeing, swimming, or hiking.
After breakfast, drive back to Kigali. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and resilience. Optional stops include the Kimironko Market or local craft centers for souvenirs.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and explore Kigali at your own pace. Your guide will transfer you to Kigali International Airport in time for your departure flight.
