Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Kigali
At 4:30 am, our safari driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Kigali to begin your 1 Day Gorilla Trekking Experience journey to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. A haven for the endangered mountain gorillas. This scenic 2.5-hour drive offers numerous picturesque stopovers, perfect for capturing beautiful photos along the way. Upon arrival at the park’s headquarters in Kinigi Village at 7:00 am, you’ll receive a detailed briefing from the ranger on the rules and guidelines for gorilla trekking. The trek itself can last between 3 to 6 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas.
Though the Gorilla trek can be physically demanding, it is immensely rewarding, as you’ll spend a magical hour observing and photographing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek, you’ll return to Kigali, with a stop for lunch in one of local restaurant in Musanze town , Once back in Kigali, you have the option to be dropped off at the airport for departure or be dropped at your hotel.
